Genesis of the Idea

Prior to Skill Set, the management team was busy working on another startup. This became successful and went to 50 employees, 2 fund raising rounds, and an acquisition by a Fortune 50 company. For the that time period, they were building and managing engineering teams and one problem kept coming up. How to bring the best talent onto teams.

The management team started thinking about how to combat this constant issue that was obviously occurring in all organizations - big and small.
